Connecting the Dots Across the Product Lifecycle
We connect data from development to field performance so teams link causes to outcomes. This drives tangible gains in quality, availability, and cost — backed by a prioritised path to scale.
The true lifecycle of products and components: from development decisions to field performance, with data stitched across systems. We represent failure modes, quality signals, and feedback loops so teams can connect cause and effect and act where it improves availability and cost.
Client type
Global industrial manufacturer.
Situation
The lifecycle runs across R&D, manufacturing, sales, and field service, with data fragmented across tools and owners. Feedback loops from the field to design and operations are often slow or informal.
Challenge
Untapped potential in working seamlessly across functions to improve product quality and outcomes. With limited end‑to‑end visibility — from R&D through production and sales to customer use and decommissioning — it was difficult to connect data and insights to support continuous improvement.
What we did
We created a connected view of the full product flow — from development to field performance — using real data from over five systems. This enabled tracing component failures, linking quality issues to outcomes, and understanding where and why products performed better or worse. Together with the client, we ran a structured PoC with three iterations, identified 30+ potential use cases, and prioritised those with strongest impact on cost reduction and availability.
Results
- Concrete examples of cross‑functional data driving real improvements
- Early wins around component quality, cost of failure, and feedback loops
- A prioritised backlog and next steps to scale, including governance and change management support
