What about “Digital Twins”?
Digital Tvilling is our company name, but our solutions are broader than what many mean by a “digital twin.” In many contexts, the term is interpreted as a one‑to‑one model of an asset. We work with complex, end‑to‑end flows that span assets, processes, organizations, decisions, and outcomes.
Why we prefer “digital representations”
- Scope beyond assets: we represent systems of systems — products, processes, people, policies, data, and events.
- End‑to‑end perspective: models connect the full flow from A→B, across silos and handovers.
- Decision support: the focus is on reasoning, orchestration, and change — not just mirroring state.
When someone says “digital twin,” ask:
- What is the intended outcome? Health, quality, safety, throughput, sustainability?
- What part of the flow does it cover? Where are the boundaries and interfaces?
- What decisions will this enable? What data and semantics are required?
Language shapes expectations. “Digital representations” better reflects the breadth of our work: connected, contextual models that help organizations make better decisions and change faster.
