What the Diktafon Mobile App Does​

The Diktafon mobile app is a field capture app that lets you record voice notes, take annotated photos, and write text notes. It is developed by Digital Tvilling AB. This privacy policy covers the Diktafon mobile app only. Backend and server-side components, when linked to Digital Tvilling, are covered by your organization's Digital Tvilling subscription agreement.

Data We Collect​

The Diktafon mobile app captures the following data when you create a capture:

  • Voice recordings (microphone audio, stored as .m4a files)
  • Photos (camera images, optionally with freehand annotations)
  • Text notes (typed by the user)
  • Location data (GPS coordinates, altitude — used to tag captures)
  • Device information (device model, OS version, battery level, network type)

All data is created by the user and stored locally on the device.

How Data Is Used​

  • Captures are stored locally on your device until synced.
  • If your organization has connected the Diktafon mobile app to a Digital Tvilling backend, captures are synced to your organization's infrastructure.
  • We do not send data to Digital Tvilling AB or any third party. Data is only sent to the backend configured by your organization.
  • We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, or tracking.

Data Ownership and Processing​

You always own your data. Digital Tvilling AB will not use your data for any purposes other than those you have explicitly agreed to. The specific terms for data processing are governed by your organization's agreement with Digital Tvilling AB. As a general principle, your data remains yours and is only processed in accordance with your instructions and intended use.

Data Storage and Control​

  • All captures are stored on-device in the app's sandboxed storage.
  • Synced data is stored on your organization's infrastructure, not on Digital Tvilling's servers.
  • You can delete individual captures from the app at any time.
  • Uninstalling the app removes all local data.

Third-Party Services​

The Diktafon mobile app does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Permissions​

The Diktafon mobile app requests the following device permissions:

  • Microphone — to record voice notes
  • Camera — to take photos and scan QR codes for device linking
  • Location — to tag captures with GPS coordinates All permissions are optional. The app functions with reduced capability if permissions are denied.

Device Linking​

The Diktafon mobile app can be linked to your organization's Digital Tvilling backend by scanning a QR code. This establishes a connection using a revocable token. No username, password, or personal credentials are stored on the device. The terms of data synchronization and processing between your organization and Digital Tvilling are governed by your organization's service agreement with Digital Tvilling AB.

Children's Privacy​

The Diktafon mobile app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.
